The Great Depression
In the 1920's many people lost money through the stock market and bank failures. The end result was that many Americans became poor or homeless. President Hoover tried to rectify the situation, but was mocked because his funds were mainly directed at businesses and companies. Then, President Roosevelt came into office. President Roosevelt created countless Governmental relief programs, sometimes called the New Deal. His New Deal idea was a policy based on the RRR policy, Rest, Recovery, and Reform. It was used to help people get back on their feet. It inspired some while irritating others.
