When World War 2 began, President Roosevelt was forced to abandon the New Deal policy to help with the war cause
This New Deal policy screeched to a halt when World War II began, distressing New Deal officialls all over the country. Distressing them further was when in a press conference President Roosevelt said that Dr. New Deal had been replaced by Dr. Win the War, which is portrayed in this cartoon ( above)
