In America's most dangerous and turbulent periods, raging and churning like a storm at sea, there is a raft of insight. That raft is the political cartoonists who try to bring understanding to the world through wit and humor. This helps both literate and illiterate people understand what's happening with the world. This way people can run the democracy. They made political figures aware of the plight of the working man and got the point across to many people, illiterate and literate alike. They are one spoke in the wheel of Democracy that keeps Democracy alive. If they didn't make the public aware of some of the issues of their time, the public wouldn't be able to vote and try to face those issues. This is a tribute to those cartoonists.
